In WidgIq, the assistant only answers from the customer's own content: pages crawled from their website with Firecrawl, short written snippets, and uploaded files like PDF, Word, Excel, and CSV. Owners can add, edit, or delete anything and the assistant stays in sync.
I built three answer modes so customers can trade speed for accuracy. Standard rewrites the question using recent chat history and runs a vector search. Smart adds keyword search and reranking. Advanced checks whether the results really cover the question, and if not, runs one more targeted search.
Answers stream in word by word, in the visitor's own language. If the AI can't help, a contact form button shows up right in the chat.
Visitors can rate any answer with a thumbs up or down, and every week WidgIq points out what people are asking about most, so owners know what to fix or add.
In BeBetter.ai, I used the Gemini API for mock interviews, resume analysis, and career feedback, with Inngest running the heavy AI work in the background.
